Weyhan “Moon” Smith, a proud member of the Shinnecock Nation of Long Island, NY, currently resides in Rio Rancho, NM, where he is raising his three teenage sons. In long-term recovery from substance use since January 10, 2018, Moon walks the red road with purpose and shares his story to uplift others on their healing journeys. A Certified Peer Support Worker, Narcan trainer, and certified instructor in both Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, he brings a wealth of experience to communities nationwide.

Moon also leads Talking Circles, offering culturally rooted spaces for connection and transformation. His work is guided by the belief that culture is medicine—blending traditional practices with modern recovery tools to foster holistic healing.
