Friends, we know you’ve come to expect legendary Indigenous performers from us -everything from rock and roll superstars to US Poet Laureates.

This summer will be no different. Here’s a clue of what we have in store: Pura Fé, renowned, singer-songwriter, musician, artist and reviver of Canoe song/dance and woman's drum. You’ve seen Wade Fernandez perform with the Indigo Girls, and you’ll also see him at our festival. We’ve got comedian Mimi Gonzalez, Puerto Rican singer/composer Lourdes Perez, and (drumroll) Navajo sibling singing duo Sihasin is back for the second time!

2024 Festival Dates

  • May 3 - Friday

    5:00 - 9:00 PM

    Opening this year’s festival features Tha Yoties for Reggae-Rock fun, Sihasin's award-winning bass and drum beats, WesternBoy's country tunes by Dakota Beavers.

  • June 8 - Saturday

    5:00 - 9:00 PM

    June's Indigenous PRIDE in The Park features Lourdes Pérez's mesmerizing tunes, Mimi Gonzalez's affirming comedy, Una Mas y La Cha Cha's eclectic spin.

  • August 16 - Friday

    5:00 - 9:00 PM

    Closing out this year’s festival features Pure Fé‘s performance, Wade Fernandez's blues, and Simona Rael's original music with a fashion show.

Dakota Beavers

Dakota Beavers is an American actor and musician who was born in Arizona. He is an accomplished vocalist and guitarist who has performed music professionally from the age of 13. Dakota is multi-ethnic. His heritage includes Native American and Mexican on his mother's side and Scottish and English on his father's side.


Mimi Gonzalez

Mimi Gonzalez is a stand-up comic who's excited and inspired to return to Santa Fe and as a part of the Indigenous Ways Festival. As a stand-up comic for over 30 years, she's entertained prides, women's cruises and festivals, local lounge bars, comedy clubs, colleges and the U.S. military from Japan to Iraq and Afghanistan.


Wiyaka Pomarleau

Wiyaka Pomarleau is an emerging hip-hop artist from the Oglala Lakota Nation. Combining rhythmic hiphop beats with his Lakota values, he writes songs designed to inspire, heal, and empower our future generations. Wiyaka is a student at the Institute of American Indian Arts.


Joy Harjo

In 2019, Joy Harjo was appointed the 23rd United States Poet Laureate, the first Native American to hold the position and only the second person to serve three terms in the role.

The birth of IndigenousWays came in 2007. The Co-founders, Tash Terry, Diné (Navajo) Nation and Elena Higgins, Maori/Samoan, began performing that year as Indigie Femme, an Indigenous woman empowered musical duo.
